Have you ever walked past a vacant building in Dutchtown and thought to yourself, “I could do something with that?”
Dutchtown Main Streets hosts Develop Dutchtown this month at After Hours, a free evening for neighbors, first-time rehabbers, small developers, and nonprofits who want to put Dutchtown’s vacant properties back to work. We’re actively tracking over 150 vacant properties and working to match those properties with people and organizations ready to bring them back to life! The evening will feature local presenters with real experience building here and properties available for rehab right now!
- Development RFPs: Release of RFPs for specific properties ready for low-cost acquisition and rehab right now
- Vacancy Abatement Pipeline: How Dutchtown Main Streets uses neighborhood pressure and litigation to move long-vacant properties toward occupancy
- Neighborhood Preservation Act Credits (NPA): Missouri’s NPA incentives pathway for owner-occupant developers
- Historic Tax Credits (HTCs): Kyle Russell, Dutchtown neighbor and local developer, on using HTCs for owner-occupied and small-scale rehabs
- Historic District Expansion: Lutheran Development Group on expanded historic districts and what that means for larger-scale development in the neighborhood and long-term planning
- Tax Abatement: St. Louis Development Corporation representatives on property tax abatement options and how they improve the math on a rehab project
This event is free and open to all with refreshments sponsored by Tower Grove Community Development Corporation. Questions? Contact us at ev@dutchtownstl.org.
