The SLACO Vacancy Sub-Committee and St. Louis Land Reutilization Authority (LRA) are holding a workshop where they will highlight and market fifteen LRA properties in the Dutchtown, Mt. Pleasant, Gravois Park, and Marine Villa neighborhoods. The purchase price of these selected properties will range from $1,000 to $4,000.

The goal of the “Finest 15” is to encourage home ownership. There are a lot of people who live in substandard housing and pay rent that is twice the amount of a mortgage. This program offers a great opportunity to purchase a home without a 20 to 30 year mortgage.

Attendees will learn about the process of buying a home through LRA and how to find renovation funds. Information on the Mow to Own program will also be presented.
