Empty Bowls Project is a grassroots movement to help end hunger. You can take part in this special event thanks to Urban Eats Cafe and pottery artist David McBeth. Guests are invited for a meal of soup and bread, and as a “thank you” for donating to local hunger relief, are gifted a handmade bowl as a reminder of all of the empty bowls in the world.
Its a party! On Wednesday 12/21/16, the Annual Downtown Dutchtown Business Association Holiday Party, will be held at the Liermann Loft above Urban Eats Cafe.
The 2017 Empty Bowls at Urban Eats will kick off at a special Sharing Celebration Brunch, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Urban Eats Cafe. You’ll see hundred of handcrafted and signed bowls, donated by artist David McBeth, to raise money for St. Anthony’s Food Pantry, at our communal brunch.
Empty Bowls at the Shop Hop will be held Saturday, December 9, from 10—4 PM at Urban Eats. Held in conjunction with the Annual Dutchtown Shop Hop, a neighborhood wide holiday event, the Shop Hop offers Pictures with Santa, carolers, a Shop Hop prize of $50 cash, and shopping specials throughout the Downtown Dutchtown business district.
Shop Downtown Dutchtown on Saturday, December 9th, from 10am to 4pm! Nearly twenty shops will be offering special deals. Visit eight shops to be entered in a cash raffle.
Join Dutchtown South Community Corporation and Perennial for a holiday benefit and craft night featuring beer, appetizers, and three upcycled projects attendees can make for the holiday season!
