Dutchtown residents, businesses, non-profits, and others are teaming up for another Dutchtown Adopt-a-Family campaign this holiday season! Dutchtown families in need can apply to receive a holiday basket including gifts for children and adults, as well as clothing and personal care items.

Below is the link to register for the attendance-required events and the holiday gift program. Here is how the program works:

  1. Apply for support through the Dutchtown Adopt-a-Family Program (open to Dutchtown residents)
  2. Complete your registration in person at the Dutchtown Holiday Extravaganza event (this helps us ensure we can accommodate all committed families in the program)
  3. Receive an invitation to schedule your toy pick-up date and time (this will happen after your in-person registration at the Dutchtown Holiday Extravaganza is complete)

This year, we want to share some important changes to the program. To qualify, you must attend the one required event, the Dutchtown Holiday Extravaganza, before being eligible to pick up the gifts. If you cannot complete your registration in person at the Dutchtown Holiday Extravaganza, you may not be able to participate in the program.

We appreciate your understanding and commitment, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Step 1: Attend the Dutchtown Holiday Extravaganza

Date: Sunday, December 8th, from 12pm to 4pm (come by anytime to register)
Location: Neighborhood Innovation Center, 3207 Meramec Street at Compton Avenue
Both children and guardians must attend

Join us for a festive holiday extravaganza filled with fun for the whole family! Enjoy cookies and photos with Santa, caroling, a petting zoo, and more. It’s a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit and connect with your neighbors. Complete your in-person registration requirement by checking in at the NIC anytime between noon and 4pm.

Parents/guardians and children must attend this event to receive their registration confirmation and essential details about the toy drive pickup.

Step 2: Pick Up Toys

Date: Before December 25th—the date will be provided to registered participants ahead of time
Location: To be determined and communicated at a later date
Children are not permitted to attend the toy pick-up

You will receive a registration link to confirm your toy pickup time—it’s important to schedule your appointment when you are available and have transportation. Please note that children should not accompany you to the pickup. If you have childcare issues, kindly let us know so we can accommodate you. Additionally, we cannot hold any gifts; items not picked up will be reallocated to another family. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot accommodate missed or late appointments.

Step 3: Come to the Dutchtown Holiday Celebration

Date: Saturday, December 21st from 7pm to 8:30pm
Location: A Dutchtown venue to be determined
Attendance is strongly encouraged but not required

Everyone is welcome to join the festivities! Get ready for a night of free, family-friendly fun with a photo booth, DJ, delicious food, and tasty snacks. Plus, any remaining gifts will be available for kids to pick out and take home. Don’t miss the celebration—we can’t wait to see you there!

Recapping the Requirements

Please remember that you must attend the required Dutchtown Holiday Extravaganza on December 8th between 12pm and 4pm to complete the in-person registration requirement for the program.

Please arrive on time for your scheduled toy pick-up appointment. We kindly ask for your cooperation in making the event a smooth and joyful experience for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior, and anyone not adhering to these guidelines will be asked to leave, forfeiting their items.

Lastly, please keep any registration links sent to you private. Only those who have received final pick-up toy registration links directly are eligible for toy pick-up. If links are shared, you forfeit your participation in the program.
